SELF CHECK IN KIOSK - MAS ECONOMY DOMESTIC FLIGHTS
SELF CHECK-IN KIOSK AT KLIA FOR MALAYSIA AIRLINES ECONOMY CLASS CUSTOMER ON DOMESTIC FLIGHTS
We would like to inform all our customers and partners that effective this Friday, 15 July 2011 Malaysia Airlines will begin a 2 week trial on the Self Check In Kiosk at the KL International Airport (KLIA) for all Economy Class passengers on domestic flights. This trial leads into the full scale implementation on 1 August 2011.
For Business Class passengers, the new Business Class Check- in Lounge at Row D is still available.
Using technology and innovation, the Self Check- in Kiosk is aimed at giving Economy Class customers greater convenience and control to process their departure formalities and baggage check in at KLIA.
Located at Level 5, Departure hall, 22 Self Check in Kiosks dedicated to Malaysia Airlines is positioned between Rows A to F.
Customers will still need to comply with all the existing travel and safety requirements for air travel out of KLIA and are advised to arrive at least 45 minutes before the flight closed.
We would like to remind all our customers and partners of the following:
~ A must-have is the 13-digit e ticket number.
~ Ensure travel documents are in hand
~ Arrive at least 45 minutes before the flight closed.
A plus point for customers is that the self check-in facility provides added convenience check-in as early as 48 hours before flight departure.
The conventional check-in counters at Row B will only be available to customers with special handling needs or Special Service Requests (SSR) The services provided are:.
~ Baggage Drop Off after the Self Check In at Kiosk is completed
~ Check-in for passengers with special needs
~ Standby Passengers registration and acceptance
~ Passenger services – wheelchair, unaccompanied minors
There are 3 simple steps as customers arrive at Level 5, Departure hall KLIA.
Proceed to the Self Check-in Kiosks. Enter the 13 digit e-ticket number. This step must be completed before proceeding to Steps 2 & 3.
The e-ticket number is a must for Self Check-in Kiosk option.
If customers do not have this in hand, they will be directed to the MH Mobile Cart so that this number can be retrieved from the system.
If there is baggage to check-in, customers proceed to counters B10-B14 for the bags to be tagged and secured.
If there are no bags, customers can opt to have their return boarding passes also printed out and to proceed to the designated boarding gate.

They are MHweb available on www.malaysiaairlines.com, MHmobile on flymas.mobi, MHbuddy via Facebook and the iPAD Kiosks located at the Malaysia Airlines Ticket Office, KL Sentral or use your individual iPAD to access the MHmobile application on flymas.mobi.
